Chara is... Different from most people in the Underground. Why? She's the only human down there and she's the adopted daughter of the king and queen. Not exactly a great combination to be normal.
She fears many things, her fellow humans, the dark (probably) and most of all, the head of the Royal Scientists, Doctor W.D Gaster. After stumbling upon a suspicious file, Chara realizes that something isn't right.
Meanwhile, in Snowdin, people have been vanishing without a trace. After a small group enter the forest to investigate and one of them is mortally wounded, the whole Underground is thrown into panic.
However, fate has a way of bringing people together, and everyone is going to need more than luck to survive.
Part one of three.
Side note- this is my first story and I'm not that good at writing so please don't judge too harshly! I welcome all constructive criticism. I would also highly suggest you play or watch a playthrough of Undertale before reading!
Another side note- I take a few creative liberties in this, so not everything is canon Undertale.

This society would gradually be challenged by the Solar Warriors, a rebellion that directly opposed his rule, sparked by tensions risen by the difference between SANS's mundane autocracy and his father GASTER II's militaristic dictatorship. {NOTICE: Please be mindful that this take contains visceral descriptions of violence & gore, domestic violence, and child abuse.} However, all of this would skyrocket thanks to the sudden introduction of one human child named Chara to the monster society. This would all culminate in one human's intrusion into the world of monsterkind known only by their stage name Shifty. (UnderTale completely belongs to Toby Fox, I in no way helped him create the game. I'm just simply a huge fan and want to write a short Genocide route fanfiction. Also, this story is COMPLETED, so don't expect any more updates. I also drew the cover.) A long time ago, the first human fell down into the ruins. A monster named Asriel came to help her, and quickly accepted her into the family. However, a disease fell upon the young child, and she died shortly after. Years later, a 7th human fell down into the ruins. However, the spirit of the first human took over her body, and decided to take out her revenge on the monsters of the underground. The Only One Like Me (Sans X Reader)
Not everyone is special enough to know exactly where the Underground's secret entrance is. Not everyone is so special as to accidentally fall into it, either. Of course, that is what the Reader did. They meet the whole gang, and one skeleton in particular stands out from the rest, simply because he's the only one like you. Agh! I'm spoiling the story! Was this truly the last RESET? Sans wondered. But he knew only Frisk would tell, only this young girl would decide his future. He hated the thought of it at first, but hatred began to grow numb after he figured out he had no say in his own future. He had to admit though, Frisk was pretty reasonable, it was Chara who was the maniac. But she was gone now, so what was the anticipating, eerie, feeling that he had in his bones? The feeling that something wasn't right, of course, this timeline was already incredibly strange. The feeling sat in his in the pit of his stomach, tying itself into knots, until that fateful rainy day when all of his questions would be answered. So basically, this is a fanfiction of a fancomic of the game Undertale. Look, I'm gonna admit, I'm little stuck in the Undertale fandom, so this is my of slowly crawling out of it. This story takes place after the events of the pacifist ending of Undertale, where all the monsters have already left the underground. However, that won't stop problems from starting again; Frisk and his friends will have to face a new threat.
