Chara is... Different from most people in the Underground. Why? She's the only human down there and she's the adopted daughter of the king and queen. Not exactly a great combination to be normal.
She fears many things, her fellow humans, the dark (probably) and most of all, the head of the Royal Scientists, Doctor W.D Gaster. After stumbling upon a suspicious file, Chara realizes that something isn't right.
Meanwhile, in Snowdin, people have been vanishing without a trace. After a small group enter the forest to investigate and one of them is mortally wounded, the whole Underground is thrown into panic.
However, fate has a way of bringing people together, and everyone is going to need more than luck to survive.
Part one of three.
Side note- this is my first story and I'm not that good at writing so please don't judge too harshly! I welcome all constructive criticism. I would also highly suggest you play or watch a playthrough of Undertale before reading!
Another side note- I take a few creative liberties in this, so not everything is canon Undertale.

Posttale (English UT/DR AU)
This story takes place after the events of the pacifist ending of Undertale, where all the monsters have already left the underground. However, that won't stop problems from starting again; Frisk and his friends will have to face a new threat. DISCLAIMER: This story is based on the fact that the first human fell underground in 2015 and the last in 2060. Here, Deltarune is a sequel to Undertale; therefore, Posttale is not a copy of TobyFox's creation, but an adaptation, or what is also called an "AU." The barrier is broken, monsters and humans are living in peace, everyone is happy except for one person. Frisk has been getting waking nightmares about not saving Asriel. They want to save him to erase all guilt and to be with their friend. But Asriel isn't the only one that needs to be saved. Something, someone lurks inside Frisk's soul. Was this truly the last RESET? Sans wondered. But he knew only Frisk would tell, only this young girl would decide his future. He hated the thought of it at first, but hatred began to grow numb after he figured out he had no say in his own future. He had to admit though, Frisk was pretty reasonable, it was Chara who was the maniac. But she was gone now, so what was the anticipating, eerie, feeling that he had in his bones? A monster named Asriel came to help her, and quickly accepted her into the family. However, a disease fell upon the young child, and she died shortly after.
