It's based off of Stephen Kings novel IT. But the storyline is a bit different. Although Pennywise is still Pennywise and the Losers Club is still called the Losers Club it's just got different kids in the club. It's set in a different town (Jacksonville) and the time the story takes place in is 2016-2020.
