This Is an alternate ending/short story to the amazing maze runner series. This is how it could have ended in the death cure. Now my ending isn't any happier basically everyone finally escapes but chancellor Paige catches the flare and as a crank is going insane and she make Thomas do things he doesn't want to do.

Or so they thought. Y/n travels to the city for supplies, along the way she meets two boys that quickly become her best friends and show her she has something worth living. Her parents start realizing the infection is getting worse and closer to home. Her home is spied on? Her parents suspect danger is near while Y/n is home so they decide she should find uncle Jorge for more safety. On her way she crosses paths with the Gladers who have just escaped WCKD on the lookout for the right army. A tall British blond boy finds an interest in her and plans on sticking by helping her heal. Will the Gladers be her ticket to finally living a free life? Will she find her brother alive?
