The Heart Doctor

A short story I wrote for an assignment I had back when I was like fourteen or something. We had to write a fable, and there was a checklist of elements of a fable that our story had to have. I can't remember the exact amount of marks it was worth (fifteen maybe?) and I got 14/15 because my story "didn't have a moral statement".

It totally did. Part of me still wants to go back to my 8th grade English teacher and demand full marks for it, despite the fact that this was over three years ago.
