She wasn't like the other girls, she made me feel things I hadn't felt before, feelings I didn't even know the name of. I didn't get the butterflies when I looked at her, or when she gave me that little lopsided smile. I got an explosion of butterflies, not the little school yard crush the whole damn playground was in my stomach, but I loved it. She's was so beautifully broken that it seemed as if nothing had happened to her, nothing so tragic and devastating had happened to such a girl, but things had happened. Things that would haunt her when she was alone, she was emotionally and physically tired of trying to save herself, that eventually she had given up. I wasn't going to let her though, I was going to save the girl everyone had given up on. This story was inspired by a girl I had hardly knew, but loved very deeply.All Rights Reserved
