Diaval loved Azulla with all his heart. When he loses her to a hunter, his life has no direction and no purpose. Then, Diaval is rescued from a farmer's trap by a powerful faerie named Maleficent, and Diaval makes his new life's purpose to repay the faerie that saved him.
This story is the story of the raven on Maleficent's shoulder from the famous children's story: Sleeping Beauty. Not the one you think you know; the real story. This is a tale of the strength of love, and the road to recovery after loss.

Unfortunately, her heart remained locked away, given solitude, from all that involved love. On Diaval's terms, he finds himself to have fallen deeply, even madly, in love with his dear Mistress. He dares not tell her, fearing the worst. But nonetheless, his deepening love for her was like the crashing waves of the sea. Even if he could never truly proclaim to her of his heart's secrets...he could at least stay near her side as her loyal servant, who thought only of her needs. But he could only hold these feelings back for so long before giving way...to finally exposing his heart's desire, the desire that solely penetrated the Raven-man's mind of wanting nothing more than to love Maleficent. Would she ever truly come to terms with how much he truly loved her once she knew? Would she truly see his heart's longing to be with her as more than just a mere servant? Natural enemies forced together by unnatural means. Word count- 16,489 (Y/n) is a proud and free wolf, that is until hunters bring her close to death. She is saved by a wingless fairy with a thirst for revenge and her raven companion. (Y/n) is thrusted into this adventure with cursed princesses, pixies, and a strange feeling called love. A wolf and raven bond is a strange feeling. And even stranger as the bond develops into something more. Rewatched Maleficent recently and was reminded of how much I love Diaval. So I figured why not write this. This story with follow the first movie not sure yet if I'll do the second one, but most likely I will. Also the reader is based off an OC of mine so there will be some details for the reader.
