The Kingdom of Monsters sealed beneath Mt. Ebbott is a kingdom divided.

After the deaths of the Royal Children and Asgore's declaration of war, the order was given that any humans who fall would be killed and their souls used to break the barrier and for a time, the citizens of the kingdom were content to wait for all seven souls that were needed.

It wasn't until many years later after the next human's fall and subsequent death that many monsters spoke out against the King's decree and insisted that the human soul should be absorbed and used to free the kingdom. It wasn't long before civil war broke out amongst the people of the Underground.

The group that wanted to use the soul eventually lost the battle and were forced to the lands far from the Capital, the whole of these places serving as a prison for the defeated monsters. Waterfall and Snowdin have long since been forsaken, their residents a mix of dissenters and criminals sent away by the Capital.

When Sans and his brother receive information regarding strange incidents occurring in town over the last few weeks, their investigation leads them to discover something that will shake the whole kingdom to it's core.

A long time ago, two races dominated the land: monsters and humans. The relationship between both races was conflictual, hostile, and difficult, as humans feared monsters, both for their appearances and for the great power they could possess by obtaining a human soul. Because of this, monsters were always treated as scum and creatures to be feared, creating a significant prejudice against them. However, one day, the monsters grew tired of this situation, and their king decided to start a war against all humans, thus decreeing the beginning of ruin for their own people. This war lasted a long time, but in the end, the victors were the humans, who, with great magical power derived from the souls of the wizards of the time, sealed the monsters underground. Many years passed after this event. Legends said that any human who fell into that underground would die, but a child decided to go to the place where everything had been sealed. They ended up falling but managed to survive the fall and now seek a way to escape or a reason to stay. Immense credits to Error Sannes, a YouTube channel creating its own AU of StoryFell. Without his narrative, I would have created something much more basic, so to speak. Of course, I will also create my own scenes and specific interactions, but what he has done is already very good and helps me a lot to have a direction. If you enjoy this story, go subscribe to his channel or check out his StoryFell videos; I swear it's worth it. ♡ ♡ ♡.

{COMPLETED} It has been just two weeks since the event that changed Papyrus' life forever. Too late, it seems, he realized what he had. And now that it is gone, he has fallen to pieces. How, or if, he will be able to cope, he truly does not know. And as if that wasn't enough, there are countless mysteries in store for this burdened skeleton-- coming from people he thought he could trust, and in places he thought that he knew. Will Papyrus ever be able to solve the mystery behind this devastating chain of events? Or will he, too, fall prey to the ever-expanding void that is engulfing the souls of himself and everyone around him? PLEASE NOTE: This book is the second in its series. It contains major spoilers to the first book, as well as this book may not make much sense without having read it first. So, if you want to keep the excitement of the first book without any major spoilers, I HIGHLY suggest going and reading that first. It is titled Your Fault. EDIT: READER AND PAPYRUS ARE BOTH IN THEIR TEENS!! WARNING: BOOK CONTAINS SWEARING/CUSSING AND VIOLENCE Just before she passed away, my grandmother told me about the monsters who lived under Mount Ebott. My mother hated everyone. My father died in the war of the monsters. My grandmother decided to whisper to me: "Promise me, You will find, A better family. One who will love you, No matter their duties. I will love you too, I will be watching you. No matter your choice, Let me hear your happy voice." So that's what I did. Her words went through my head as I climbed the mountain, hoping that a monster could help me. - "Sans flinched as the shouting downstairs grew louder. The ropes around my wrist seemed to grow tighter as I struggled, hoping to break free from the monster stomping up the stairs angrily. As Sans stepped back, his door was smashed open. I took one long look at the figure standing there and instantly knew: this is why I am here." - (SLOW STORY! MANY SLOW CHAPTERS BECAUSE OF DETAILS)(COVER ART NOT BY ME!)
