Pools and broken wolves

Ever since the fire Derek had found it hard to look at a flame. Every time he saw the bright light flickering the sounds of his families screams filled his ears and made it Impossible to breathe.

He discovered that water helped purely by accident. He had come across a small campsite and watched from the shadows, bored of just running. However when one of the people lit the fire his throat closed. The sounds of people laughing were now the sounds of people screaming. He had stumbled back and fell into a small pond, as soon as the water fell around his face he found himself relaxing.

Because water gets rid of fire.

He never meant for anyone to find out, it was a complete mistake that he forgot Stiles was supposed to come over.
