Ryuu made a promise all those years ago, and she'd be damned if she broke it now.
Ryuu is your stereotypical child. Energetic, loud, and chaotic at heart. While the orphanage is a nice place, she's always had the growing urge to go out and explore the world. Hell, just making a friend besides that one kid who made friends with any and everyone. Someone she can rely on. Soon enough, she gets her wish, though a new mental companion really wasn't on the agenda.
Come to think of it, getting kidnapped as a child to be used as a transportation vessel was never on the agenda either.
