Finding a new home

Alex's hands reached up and cupped my face, wiping away the many tears that were flowing from my eyes.
"We're all a mess, Isabella." A tear fell from his eye. "In our own ways, we're all messed up."
Everyone had problems that messed them up, some people were just better at hiding them than others.
I thought I was good at hiding the mess of my life. That was until Alexander Jackson came and allowed me to show what a mess I was.
Did Alex have demons, too? Was I so wrapped up in my own problems that I failed to see his pain?
"You're a goddamn beautiful mess, Isabella."
