Aurora fell into a deep slumber not because of a cursed but because of drug overdose. The irony is that she is being called sleeping beauty yet she is suffering from severe insomnia resulting on sleepless nights making her resolve it with daily dose of sleeping pills.
Turns out Aurora isn't really a sleeping beauty at all. She is a woman suffering with the inability to sleep well at night.
