Livia Moretti has not had a good night's sleep since the day her best friend - sorry, ex-best friend - died. Yes, It's insomnia. Whenever Livia closes her eyes, the scene flashes before her eyes. She's just getting by, finding whatever distraction she can. Thankfully, ModernLifeTM in Britain is hectic enough to keep her busy. But lately, it really doesn't seem the case, when she flies to Japan for an exchange trip. Takahashi Kyoko does not belong. Nothing new about that. She used to be like 'all the others' - dreaming of riding off into the sunset with a beautiful princess. Unfortunately, Japan does not welcome the new, so Kyoko can only ever dream, unwilling to get too involved with something that will only bring her pain. Her only tether to reality is her fighting, everything else in her life aims to pursue her nightly adventures. Then came another, a girl, overseas from England. Co-authored with my good friend Molly! (Warning- the first chap is really cringy!)

Mirai comes from a long line of witches who have been particularly gifted in using their inner sight. As such, she's trained her sight from a young age. She's always been a disappointment, however, as the only thing she's ever been able to see is the vague image of a girl. On her 18th birthday, Mirai discovers a mark on the back of her neck displaying the number thirty. From her first proper vision, she deduces that unless she finds the girl before the number reaches zero, both of them will die. Only being able to depend on her less than mediocre skills in seeing the future, Mirai sets out to find the girl before the time is up. Little does she know of the trauma the girl has suffered, nor that finding her is only the beginning. ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence, suicide (happens in the prologue while POV-character has her back turned), rape (happens in chapter 30 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fade to black, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), violent death of babies, some rather bloody scenes, self-harm, extreme guilt. Note that a major part of this story focus on healing from and learning to live with trauma, so though you could potentially read it but skip some specific parts, if you're not comfortable reading something that deals with the listed topics, then this book won't be for you. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (completed) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light (completed) Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love (ongoing)
