3 years ago, 9 children were locked in the Ravenscar Mansion. 2 went missing, 1 was locked in St. Patrick's Mental Institution and 6 were made to continue living their lives.
3 years after that incident, Alexis Sieres, one of the 6, returns to Hollow Woods where nostalgia and a particular danger rings round the corner. What happens when a murder occurs the day AFTER Alexis arrives? What happens when the victim is found at the Mansion they feared most? What happens when the murderer may be the one who had inflicted the fear of death into their souls in the first place?
Add in a suspicious website that seems to know everything and an ex-mental patient into the mix. Will they avoid this tragedy and escape their fates or will they succumb to the allure of darkness and struggle to search for the unwitting truth?

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up.
