18-year-old Ash Ketchum returns to the Kalos region after winning the Pokémon World Championship. He has three good reasons to do so: to meet up with his old friends; to return the Pokédex he acquired in Kalos to Professor Sycamore to be reused (after getting a Rotom Dex in the Alola region, he uploaded all of his personal info stored on his previous Pokédex's onto it, so his previous ones could be reused); and to confess his love to the girl of his dreams, a Pokémon Performer with sapphire-blue eyes and honey-blond hair.
