"It's not something you can choose. It's something that chooses you."

When Coda Becker leaves her home in Australia as a high school junior to live in Osville, Massachusetts, she doesn't say a word to those she's leaving behind, the string quartet she was part of back in Canberra.
But no matter how hard she tries, the memories keep following her around, taunting her for giving up just when she really shouldn't have. Even her own name is a reminder of everything she tossed away, and the burden is always there in the back of her mind. It gets worse when her quartet's cellist moves to the same town as her, increasing tensions between the two.
Amidst new relationships and a journey back to something she cherished the most, Coda must learn to accept fate before it crushes her itself.
