Since lapis and peridot became friends in the original SU series I couldn't help but ship them, I was slightly disappointed that there seemed to be no apology from lapis after leaving peridot and I wish that the creators could of fixed their relationship even if it meant that they were just friends.
the idea of this story is to fit in the gaps, this is what I hoped happened when Steven Connie and the rest of the crystal gems went to homeworld
