The events that follow

The world had gone to shit and humanity may as well have been a thing of the past. I was the only one left, one tired soul cursed to wander these abandoned streets never finding the answers I was looking for.
"Hey"
Oh yeah and that dickhead. He's the other only one left, his name's Joe. That's about all I knew, his name, and honestly I wasn't too keen on learning more.
Since we were the last two people on earth, quite literally, he thought it gave him some right to try and convince me to be his friend. He believed in his odd, little head that he could somehow be my friend.
No.
No he could not.
