I mean, you go on band trips together, have rehearsal sessions together, endure painfully long bus ride (or if you're lucky, Plane rides) together, it's a whole thing! Wether or not you actually had any band friends doesn't matter; if you're in band? you're a member of the Band Family. This book is about just that, because High school band is a big part of a lot of people's high school experience! Demi is a transfer student, upset that her father's job has torn her away from the city, her boyfriend, and the life she knows. It hasn't been an easy adjustment to such a tiny, boring town, and she doesn't even have a car to get away. The first day of her senior year is going terrible, and to make matters worse, her clumsy feet have her stumbling down the stairs.
