By the age of nineteen, Faye de Acastre was much more familiar with scalpels and innards than any person should be, especially as a woman. Faye and her father own the only mortuary in town. The only apothecary as well. Since the death of her mother, she became her father's assistant, healing the living within the town and dissecting the dead. However, after meeting Henry Lowde, the son of one of her wealthy patients, her carefully composed world begins to crumble. She begins to sneak threads off the clothes of the cadavers in her father's shop to weave a tapestry for Henry's family, but instead sets off a series of events she cannot prevent. Thrust into a magical world within the tapestry, she must find her way out with a man as infuriating as he is charming, and destroy the prison of her own making.
