This story takes place in the Steven Universe timeline, where Steven returned back to earth after escaping from Homeworld and it was after the Reign of the Supermen event, but there's a slight change in Steven in this fanfic, Steven is a girl named Nora! and in this fanfic and she'll meet the superheroes, while the heroes learn more about her, her family, and about Homeworld.
