We all know the story of Hades and Persephone: Evil Lord of the Underworld abducts a beautiful girl. Her mother searches for her, covering the world in ice and snow. The girl eats pomegranate seeds and is forever bound to the Underworld and its king; blah, blah, blah.

But what if there was more to the story? What if the abduction of Persephone was a misunderstanding? What if there was a valid reason Demeter couldn't keep the world green and fertile without her daughter by her side? And WHAT IF Hades came up from the Underworld for an entirely different reason?

This is what I think REALLY happened.
