The treaty between the two kingdoms was imprinted in the fine print onto a pale historic parchment. In return of protection to the kingdom of Errenial, the firstborn of King Thadeus and Queen Mary was promised to wed the ruling heir of the kingdom of Northyme, the largest territory in the realm of Agnosia.

The day had come when Princess Aurora Grimaldi had come to face her fate. The day had come when she was forced to leave her home, her family, and her life behind to embrace her future as the future Queen of Northyme. She had a duty to her people to protect them, to offer her life in return for her kingdom's protection, a price to pay for her royalty of superfluous jewels and expensive gowns.

The journey between lands was enamored with enemies who would gain from the demise of the agreement between the two kingdoms.

The King of Northyme sent his most trusted advisor to protect his future bride and bring her back safely. He had a duty to his king, a price to pay for the life the king had generously bestowed to him.

Her allegiance to her people.

His allegiance to his crown.

It was not until they set their eyes on the other when they knew they had become a threat to their own allegiance.
