A few years later she becomes friends with a human- Maire Copper. Once she's 16 Lilith uses magic to turn herself half human. Legs when dry, tail when wet. Then she meets Max Caperton. He seems average but he has a deep secret. He's part merman- and cursed at that. Lilith promises to help him, going on a journey through the sea to get him his legs back- to reverse the curse. With the guidance of Lilith's pure mermaid friend Pearl Clam of course.
