What secrets lurk in the dark? When the lights are put out and a lull seems to fall with an air of uncertainty. It is often said that most mysteries of the unknown are found amid that darkness. Legends are born, myths are passed down in the form of bedtime stories and the emotion called fear as some sort of pacifying attempt is regarded as folklore. Human beings are such fickle creatures. We tend to believe what we see and dismiss any belief in things that is unseen. We pile up evidence after evidence to justify our own belief and what our brain can manage to process. However, don't even consider putting up with the idea of anything our brain cannot justify or reason with. It's almost like each one of us is living in our bubble made up of our own set of ideas to the only extent of our limit of justification. If we think of it that way, a question does arise in mind. Is what that is hidden because we can't justify it or is it simply because we do not want to justify it? Justifying it would surely mean acknowledging the existence of the idea of something we either do not want to accept or we can't accept. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Everyone! So I am trying my hand on detective kinda supernatural story. This is inspired by the Metro PD- close to you otome game by Voltage inc., Ghost Hunt, and Devils line. So any voltage or anime style fans out there do give it a read and let me know what you think. I am not going to rush with the amount of information I give out on the chapters but I will try to keep a reasonable flow of pace in the story. Please Vote if you like it and don't forget to comment and let me know what you think so far.

Kylie survived the brutal destruction of her pack only to discover her cold alpha mate was the one responsible for the brutal slaughter of her family and pack mates. She can't forgive and she won't forget. Kylie cooperates with his demands while she searches for a way to free the remaining survivors and herself. Success teaches her just how complicated mate bonds can be and gives her the chance to choose her own fate. "Screw the mate bond. If I went for his throat while he was driving in human form, I might be able to kill him right now, and if I didn't succeed, the resulting accident might. I leapt for the front seat, powerful jaw ready to rip out his throat as he had ripped out my family's to take my revenge. Without even taking his left hand off the wheel, he blocked me by getting his right forearm between my jaws. I bit down as hard as I could, wishing to break his bones and sever the limb. Worse, I felt the tingles of our first contact where violence had connected us. The iron of his blood mingled with the other scents around me." (This is a dark story, but not the stereotypical one where she falls in love with her captor. This is the story of escape from a toxic relationship and finding healthy love.) MATURE content including violence, dubious consent, intimacy, and mature and other possibility upsetting themes like threats of suicide and miscarriage. Not intended for the 18- crowd, sorry. #1 in Protective (10/23/21, 02/02/22) #1 in Pack (10/24/21)
