The Porcelain Facade

Sage lives in a world in which class is decided by beauty. After a horrific carriage accident as a youngster, Sage was left with a face that made children scream. She was pushed down to the peasant class, and lives with the healers that saved her life.

Quentin Klein is flailing. He's struggling to fit into the expectations of his caste, the Bellus. They want him to cake his face in product and dress in scratchy uncomfortable clothes. He longs to find his lost best friend, Sage, who disappeared when they were 15.

Meanwhile, in Avem Terra, a faraway territory, rebellion is brewing. The pieces of broken porcelain are being picked up and made anew. Thousands of artificially beautiful commoners are infiltrating the Bellus, waiting to strike.

Will Quentin escape his despair? Will Sage find purpose? and will they save those whom they love before the angry people of Avem Terra kill them? ;)
