The Earth was razed, humans slaughtered by the hands of dwarves and naga. The only humans left were stranded in an island with Dwarves digging below them, hoping to crush their skulls with their fists, and Naga swirling under the ocean, creating massive storms outside the isle, waiting for humans with every ebb and flow of the waters. At least that was what Rayn was told, in their isle with which everyone believed that they were the only humans left. Living with only two paths to choose in their lives, their generations revered the Safir's, the soldiers of Eagle City who stood proud on the walls of their island, riding in ships with crates assumed to be captured naga, and fighting in the underground tunnels of the palace. Every young child dreamed to be revered like them, to make their family proud, their lives here were simple, and believed that being a soldier for their country and fight against the monsters that drove them away from their homeland was the biggest honor of all. But things... are not what they seem. One thing Rayn discovered after his first mission was. He regretted being a soldier.
