Living on the Clouds, hidden from the view of Humans, are the Fairies and Sparrow-Men. The Cloud Countries are divided in to numbered sectors, the capital, Cloud 9. Each Cloud, except for Cloud 9 has an Ambassador or an Ambassadress. Cloud 9 has a King, Presteignio and a Queen, Aldonia.
All the Fairies and Sparrow-Men are daughters and sons of Nature and named after their parent. So for example, Brooke would be the daughter of the brooke and Ray would be the son of the sun. They also receive materials from their parents to build their parents to build their houses. All the Fairies and Sparrow-Men, called Sprites, have jobs, some higher up than others.
This is the story of Magnolia, young Fairy who holds the position of Royal Representative. She and her friends are all opposites but no four Sprites could be closer.
But just because the Cloud Countries seem like paradise, it doesn't mean that there is no trouble for this 12 year old Sprite and her friends!

Those at the top of this world are the ruling Fae, next are ruling humans, next Fae, free humans, protected slaves and then the banished ones. At least as a slave she has a chance at earning her freedom from a ruling Fae to pardon her. She is also something more which is discovered as she grows up but she must keep it hidden to protect herself. As she masters her skills, she, along with her friends, are given the opportunity to leave and earn her freedom. It's the first step in finding herself and her answers and perhaps it could change her life in ways she couldn't imagine when she was taking everyone's orders in the kitchen.
