Orion Carlato is embarking on her last year of highschool and she's left dazed. Orion has built a tolerance around her life, allowing her mental health and family issues to simply be 'one of those things.' Yet she realizes the bigger controversies in her life that she must now face. But how? She begins her journey of self discovery and self fulfillment. There are only bad moments after all, and sometimes the bad moments help us seize the good moments to come. The Upsides exist, and she makes it her job to bring attention to the better parts of life while also stressing the importance of taboo topics that may go unspoken of. A novel that makes you feel understood and hopeful. Life sucks. And Orion's not here to tell you otherwise because it does, a lot. But it's also beautiful.

"Jace Jenson. He's the school bad boy, the type of person who can make your life a living hell if you just so much as look at him wrong. And he just so happens to be in most of my classes." Callie Watt has glided through high school mostly unnoticed. She expects an average life. An easy life. But, is average boring? After a night of crying over a coffee cup, Callie finds herself warming to none other than Jace Jenson. One lie after another leads her to wonder if Jace is everything he says he is, and Callie isn't sure if there is more to the story that meets the eye. But the question is: will Jace be able to fix her broken heart, or will he be the one that breaks it even further?
