This is the continuation of my short story "The Dream Eater." I recommend you read that part first before starting this one because it revolves around an important event that changed the lives of two of this story's main characters. hope you enjoy :)
Alfonso isn't the most social person in the world. He had acquaintances but not a lot of friends, and he was used to that. But when a creature terrorizes the town of Santa Mora his world as he knew it will change forever. with the help of a dream eater and some new friends, Alfonso will have to stop the creature before the body count rises. In this town, you don't have to fear your nightmares, but your happiest memories.

I close my eyes and try to listen for voices amongst the night owls and rushing river. Hoping to hear something but also hoping to hear nothing. Then I heard it. A laugh. Loud and boisterous, a male. Followed by another speaking Bulgarian that I couldn't interpret. But it was there. I heard it, and it made my stomach drop. A sudden blood curdling scream coming from my camp makes me drop the canteen startled as I open my eyes wide and fear begins to set in. It wasn't the fear of someone in my camp being hurt however, what scared me was the laughing from across the river suddenly stopped along with the talking.
