Aguri Tendou is just a normal middle schooler. She goes to school, gets all A's, then comes straight home.

Aguri was walking home one day. She was texting her friend and didn't bother to look both ways before crossing the street. The rest is a blur to her. A smashed phone. A beep. The headlights of a car. And then... the air rushes out of her.

An instant death.

That's only the beginning.
