The eight-person crew must ride their crippled ship to Mars while they desperately struggle to survive. The whole human space flight program hangs in the balance. Its 2017, scientists from the USA have noticed that an object foreign to anything they have ever seen is hurtling towards earth. It is estimated that earth has 2 and a half year to prepare themselves. So the USA gathers four fourteen year old kids from five different countries and sends them into outer space. The mission, to find a planet that can be the new birth place for humanity.
