Trinity Finch doesn't care that half the people in her grade don't like her. She would rather read than suffer through middle school, which, according to multiple books and websites, makes her a first-class nerd. When Trinity's grade takes a mandatory two-day field trip to camp in the Farest Lake Woods, Trinity is disappointed that she won't be able to skip it, and read at home instead. That is, until she find the Moonpool, and her favorite series of books becomes reality.
