Sir Thomas, as Mordred lay dying, had sworn an oath that he would protect Marianna until they had arrived in Winchester and delivered her to his cousin, King Constantine III. Along the way he and Sir Francis each discover things about themselves that were to turn their futures down unexpected paths. In Lothian, Sir John, meanwhile, finds that he and Mordred had unwittingly stumbled upon a deadly plot between King Lot and the Saxon King Oeric of Kent, an unholy alliance that, now broken by Lot’s death and the siege on Castle Traprain Law, will ultimately make John a king. The foundation that King Arthur had left for Constantine to build upon has begun to crumble, the legacy of a united Britannia was no more and Marianna, it seems, is the thread that links all thier lives together.

Sir Lancelot, his faithful First Knight. Guinevere, Arthur's promised bride. Garreth, her best friend and cousin, the son of Merlin (Myrddin), the great wizard. It sounds just like the Arthurian Legend, doesn't it? But... What if everything happened differently? What if the young Princess Guinevere was not so keen on marrying Prince Arthur, whom she met... when he came for a week-long sightseeing tour to her father's kingdom accompanied by dashing Sir Lancelot? What if she was... dressed as a knight, pretending to be a bodyguard hired for the visitors? And... What if it was 'a she', who was destined to pull the sword from the stone and thus unite the kingdoms? This is my version, a humorous retelling of the famous legend, a medieval fantasy- coming of age- romantic comedy. *This story is purposely historically innacurate, set in some parallel, fantastical Britain that is different from what it had really been in the past, even though I'm using real locations, historically confirmed battles, and the Saxons as enemies of my legendary King Arthur. Sir Guy of Gisborne comes back from the Holy Land, on his conscience the knowledge of having killed Marian. Appointed Sheriff of Nottingham in the place of Vaisey, he struggles to find a way to make up for his past wrongdoings, but it's a very hard task. Guy meets again - after many years - Lady Violet of Chetwood, a childhood friend of Robin Hood; the widow of a man who mistreated her, the young woman has returned to her ancestral mansion and has always helped her friend Robin since he has been declared an outlaw, and therefore she's not well-disposed towards Guy, whom she knows since she was a child. Complicated dynastic events, however, will force her to approach precisely the black-clad knight for a marriage of convenience...
