To try and take control of the entire New England candle manufacturing industry, now tightly controlled by a handful of whalers. The plan goes badly astray when Jeremy meets the lovely daughter of the captain of the whaling ship "Sea Rogue." When the captain misconstrues Jeremy's intentions towards his only daughter, the young man ends up an unwilling passenger on a year-long sea voyage to the whaling grounds off the coast of Brazil. When Jeremy becomes captain of the "Sea Rogue" through circumstances beyond his control, he finds his ship and crew in deadly danger. Throw in an exciting combination of a rogue whale, bloodthirsty pirates, and a damsel in distress and you have an easy to read story that turns out to be truly a "Whale of a Tale."
