Ava Bellamy just finished her first semester of college and reluctantly she decided on the school educational trip to Seattle, Washington.
She wasn't the best at making friends, she was shy, awkward and full of bad luck.
Ava is quickly swooped off her feet by her crush Oliver who joined her on the trip, so quickly it came crashing down on her head and heart. She found herself alone in the streets of Seattle until she came across a 24/hour jiffy store.
When the jiffy store was robbed with Ava inside, she was out of love and in ropes with a gag in her mouth.
In a situation that went beyond bad luck, there was a tall, enigmatic boy dressed in black who would come to her rescue, but was he truly saving her? Was it possible for Ava to trust the killer who grew possessive of her?

But when River starts to learn more of the young man everyone fears she starts to see him in a new way. After some time feelings grow stronger and she hopes she's not fallen for a murderer.
