This is a short story that I have written all by myself. It's about death, I think it's important to accept that we as humans are all going to die one day. This story means a lot to me and it has a deep meaning that I highly relate to, so I hope you enjoy it!

Max has spent the past several thousand lifetimes as a Reaper among humans and, despite the pleasures of a tidy country home with a well-dusted library and a finely tuned Harley, he's starting to get bored. His best friend gives him some advice: "Drink some scotch. Bed a woman. Join a rock band. Get it out of your system, and get back to your dutiful service." Max tried, but he ended up getting drunk, marrying the girl in Vegas, and accidentally triggering a chain of events that could end with the destruction of the human race. Death is a funny thing. It's the ultimate step out of our comfort zones. You realize this world is the biggest comfort zone there is. Earth has always been a constant in a constantly changing world. We're all born into it with this air of certainty. We always know the ground under our feet will be there tomorrow. This is a story about the Grim Reaper and the souls he delivers. The Grim Reaper delivers souls from earth to what most comprehend as the 'afterlife'. When there is the occasional resistance from unwilling souls, he'll retrieve an old memory or feeling of theirs and let them experience it again. It usually works to persuade them to leave the world - souls who had suicidal thoughts in the past, those who lost loved ones and didn't want to continue living without them, and those who did something wrong and felt huge crushing guilt.
