Vela is the daughter of Loki, prince of Jotunheim and she shared every aspect of her father, his pale skin, ebony hair, emerald eyes, and she even had his love of mischief. They were both banished to Midgard. They saw the avengers rushing towards them with weapons drawn and they hear a voice say, "hey reindeer games"

"Her name is Hela," he replied, watching the infant lose interest in the shield and move onto something else. Hela looked up at the mention of her name and the same grin came across her face. The smile reminded the Avengers of Loki, it was clearly obvious. The child seemed more innocent, but she was clearly his daughter. It didn't take a genius to know what they were about to do. On Asgard, Odin is critically ill, possibly even dying. Odin has banished Loki to Midgard for all eternity. Odin has sent for Thor to take the throne but Thor refuses because he doesn't want to leave Jane. Thor convinces Odin to lift Loki's banishment, so that Loki can take the throne. Odin then sends Thor to Midgard to find Loki. With the help of Heimdall, Thor finds Loki. He's singing in a Midgardian rock band. Once back on Midgard, Thor tells the Avengers that he must get Loki, so he can take the throne. Thor needs someone to talk to Loki on his behalf. Someone that Loki doesn't know. So, Thor enlists the help of a young woman who's in training to be an Avenger. However, the young woman is the little sister of an Avenger, who doesn't want her to do it. The young woman agrees to do it in spite of her brother's wishes. Thor and the young woman go to the club that Loki is working in so that she can talk to him. The young woman finds Loki and talks to him. When they first met, Loki and the young woman don't see eye to eye, but she manages to convince Loki to go back to the Avengers Tower and talk to Thor. Loki ends up falling in love with the young woman and wants to make her his queen. When Loki arrives at Avengers Tower to talk to Thor, Loki tells Thor that he won't leave without the young woman because he has chosen her as his queen. When Loki tells the young woman that he wants her to go back to Asgard with him as his queen, her brother refuses to let her go. This makes the young woman mad, and she decides to go back with Loki just to spite her brother. Now Loki must convince this high-spirited young woman that he really loves her. While on Asgard, the young woman starts to develop feelings for Loki and ends up falling in love with him.
