The Four Nations were at war with each other. Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, Water Tribe, and Air Nomads. Or rather, the three nations were against the formidable Fire Nation, and Fire Lord. With Avatar Roku gone, it's up to the new Avatar to save the world... but who is the new avatar?
Three kids from the Southern Water Tribe stumble upon a giant iceberg. Katara, Sokka... and Y/n. Now I know what you're thinking... who in the absolute FUCK is Y/n? Well, no one really knows. She's just a waterbender, yes... WATERBENDER, from one of the Water Tribes... but is that all she is? Sokka and Katara have no idea where she came from. All they know is that she randomly appeared in the tribe, could waterbend, and now is a part of their friend group.

There is an old folklore about the Children of the Forest. They were mortal spirits who were the First Benders with the ability to travel freely to the spirit world and to the human realm. Each with their own element of air, water, earth and fire. They were one with their elemental animals and travelled the spirit and human realm freely. Fire Lord Azulon was one of the very few humans aware that this folklore was more than a mere legend, although slightly altered, but factual. He sought out dragons and in one of his searches he found a Child of the Forest with a Fire Element by sheer unfortunate luck and after defeating her, he imprisoned her.
