Kova Blackwell was born at St. Joseph Medical center during a dark storm on November 12th of 2002. Her father Kaleo Blackwell, a 16-year-old heartthrob from Honolulu, Hawaii whose newly claimed status as starting Linebacker brought him to Kova's mother; Maria Mays, an 18-year-old straight-A student, ASB president, and star volleyball player. Just 10 hours after little Kova was born Maria left, moved to England, and ceased to have any contact with her daughter. 17-years-later as Kova nears the end of her junior year when her once quiet and simple life Is flipped upside down as her father remarries an ER nurse with problematic twin boys. Her life is set to seemingly unending chaos as her city begins to crumble to riots and the string of her new stepbrother's past begins to intertwine with her future.
