    This is the story of my journey in the Fire service, all of the writing is based on true events that have happened in the span of my servitude.

    My name is Kendra, I started my journey in the summer of 2019, I had just turned twenty in mid-July. Thinking back, my decision was based on the fact that I wanted to dedicate my life to something bigger than myself. I always considered myself a tough girl, a bit of a tomboy but nonetheless a go-getter with a restless soul. When I was born, I had been brought into this world through C-section, and faced many challenges throughout my childhood. Challenges that involved me struggling with a mild form of osteogenesis imperfecta, otherwise known as a brittle bone disorder. I was a bit reckless even still. I don't remember much of my childhood that didn't involve a broken bone or two. Throughout the span of my almost twenty-one years on this earth, I have broken at least fifteen bones, however those are just the ones I vividly remember. I am currently 4'9" in height, and as you may have realized, a women. Somehow, with all the odds stacked against me, I decided to finally start writing my own story.

    I decided to create this series as a way to track my progress and as a mental review as to why I wanted to start this endlessly rewarding adventure.All Rights Reserved
