Luca James is 24, gay, lives in a one-bedroom apartment, and works as a therapist for the last 2 years since graduating from college. Hasn't spoken with his mom since she kicked him out of her house on his 17th birthday. His dad died when he was 15, leaving him with his drug addicted mother. He recives a visit from a DCFS (department of children and family services) worker one afternoon after he arrived home from work. The worker informs him that he was given his information by his mother when she was arrested again for drug use and possession, and put his baby sister's life in danger by driving under the influence. He's shocked he has a sibling, but not about his mother's drug use.
