The Ministry of Magic was rebuilding itself, and had set out to demolish the Dark Art threats completely, tracking down all those tied to Voldemort and his motives. All Karolin Buck wanted was to find her mum. Her parents separated shortly after she was born, and her father took her with him. However, her father's association with the Dark Arts led to his death, and Karolin was left with nothing.
