16 year-old Miya Natasha Ackerman, fearless, brave, and all-around amazing, finds her one true passion after cleaning her dad's attic. "Oh that old thing?" He said. "That's a relic lost in time," he said, picking up the old and rusty pitch-black electric guitar. She was told by her mother to never play an instrument, but she was never sure why. It was only at her dad's house that he taught her how to play guitar. She got better and better over time, but everything else began to fall apart. Her college brother got kicked out of his university, Miya's mother begins to notice her sudden musical hums and kicks her out of her house. Miya's father falls ill and it seems that all of her friends are forgetting her, literally. Does Miya find out why this is happening? Is it because of that guitar? Or is it something just quite a bit more... sinister...
