Nineteen year old Mika Ross can barely remember the last time he saw his mother and his brothers. On a whim of brilliance, or more likely stupidity, he decides to make it his life's work to find them. Lots of walking, hitchhiking, public bus rides, long hours in his car, and a hand held GPS are just a few things he's using to get there. He's got the clothes on his back (okay, a few in his backpack), some food, all his money, the last letter from his mother, and all his memories. Oh, and since he'd hate to admit it.. His best friend (Read: girlfriend he's madly in like with) eighteen year old Kate Oakley wouldn't let him leave unless she went with him. They've been inseparable since they can remember, and so it's only natural that they're doing something this stupid, together.
