No one has to be taught to fear the dark. Fear of the dark is really just fear of the unseen. People are afraid of the dark because they are afraid of what may be in the dark that they can't see. It's not really the problem for you though. You can see in the dark. You can see what you're afraid of. Or can you?

all of the light went out. i could see the light but i could never walk towards it. i loved the feel of the sun...but i was never allowed in it. i wouldnt melt like the others, and i wouldnt sparkle like the others and i would criple in pain. i would fight it...but i didnt want to hurt those closest to me, thats why i didnt let him in. we were so close, they all thought that we were together...even he was confused. i was confused...i cannot afford to hurt him. he means so much to me and yet i have only known him for such a little time. i guess to escape the darkness...all i need to do is open my eyes.Complete

What will happen when one is very calm and peaceful sweet sunlight and another is like dark and terrifying darkness of the night. When such completely opposite images will clash with each other. The sweet sunlight will be scorching or the darkness will be bright, it will be a sight worth seeing. Or a completely different world will be created which neither of these two would have wanted nor ever thought of.
