A kingdom it's attacked by is arch enemies but the is lack of military personnels .
So The king ordered at least one male of each family to participate in the war meanwhile a particular family has only one male which is their father to fight in the war, but he is too old and weak to take part in it. So his daughter urges him to allow her fight in the war but he denies her the chance to fight in the war because it is forbidden for females to fight in a war.
