Of course, in almost every book, it goes along the lines of.. "So-and-so has had an ordinary life until one day.." and so on. In this story, that's completely the opposite with Miss Parker Harrison. She was in a foster home until she was officially adopted at the age of 14 along with her younger brother, Landon, who was 8 at the time. Sadly, about a year after they got adopted, Landon and their mom died in 9/11. She thought her life was over but decided just to get back up and keep living her life.

She has decent grades in school and has a few friends that she is actually close too. She is now in her senior year of high school and is about to turn 18 when she made a wish. A wish to be taken off of this disastrous world and into one where she feels like she can do anything. Where she can travel all over and hope for a miracle. Her whole life has been miracles but miracles can end...

Until she met the one person that understands her.
