Maroon Escape to Meadows and Bees (Part One)
Born a human, and raised into a monster hiding in plain view. That's how Jeane Crimson, the new 15-year-old student and huntress-in-training attending Beacon High, would internally describe herself as, with several meanings to it as well. From how she was a wolf Faunus to how she holds a dangerous secret about her semblance, she'd be perceived as a threat to many. However, she wouldn't tell anyone that, except for her adoptive older sister, Blake Belladonna. And it's her mission to reverse this curse; but not just hers; she's planning on helping her sister get out of the White Fang mess, too. It's a lot to juggle: understanding and controlling her chaotic semblance, undermining the White Fang along with her and her sister's connections to it, and living a "normal" high schooler life. It's hard living a double life, but if anyone can do it, Jeane, and the curse combined within her semblance, are determined to do so, no matter what.
Blake Belladonna also struggles with a similarly daunting task. She is also a new student at Beacon High, and her already minute vision of an alternate outcome is thinning as problems with the White Fang and the person who she used to see as a strong but now belligerent boyfriend, Adam Taurus, rise higher and higher. She considers running, but she worries how it will affect her friends, family, and new friends. It doesn't help that she starts forming closer bonds with her best friend, Yang Xiao Long, and she'd hate to leave her behind or have her be hurt by Adam. However, she too will do whatever it takes to keep her loved ones safe...
This is a fan-made RWBY AU which is intended to have several parts or books to it in the future. OCs will be included (such as Jeane!). RWBY, the cover image, and its characters belong to Monty Oum and VIZMedia.
As of June 2025, this story is still being edited & written! School life makes it a little difficult. FYI, this will likely be a slowburn for any relationships.
