Zara is moving from New Zealand to New Jersey to attend Princeton; the college she got accepted into. She decided to attend there not only for the amazing opportunity it held, but also to get away from her traumatic past, but what if that past decides to follow her?

There she meets her neurotic roommate in a... compromising situation. Her roommate (Josephine 'Jo') invites her into her friend group where they also have a dance group together. There she meets all sorts of friends like the sweet Shane, the cold June among others.

Oh, and lets not forget about the infuriating Cameron who is also in their friend group. He also seems to have a past and is often times hot and cold making it hard for Zara to understand where she stands with him. Most days, she hates him because, well, he's an asshole, but other days, he's not an asshole. Those days are the days that confuse Zara and complicate her already complicated life.
