When the dark arrived, Nadine Gendle didn't cry. She didn't worry, pace, or sulk. She hardened. The soft, sweet girl who would pick up spiders and take them outside, disappeared. She was replaced by the girl who had no emotions, no smiles, and no heart.
Nadine was on her own now, as the dawn of the Dark arrived. Maybe along the way she would find survivors, but it was questionable on whether she would turn them away or not.
